passion and charisma...

Julian Hauptmann was born in Bad Windsheim in 1989 and made his first musical experiences in the Windsbach Boys' Choir. He still owes essential musical impulses to the director at the time, Karl-Friedrich Beringer. He first studied singing with Professor Charlotte Lehmann in Hanover. In 2014 he became a member of the ensemble at the Hamburg Chamber Opera.

In 2016 he studied conducting in Bayreuth with GMD Stefan Fraas. During his time in Bayreuth he worked regularly with professional orchestras such as the "Vogtland Philharmonic" or the "Young Philharmonic Orchestra of Lower Saxony". In August 2020 he founded the "Junge Orchester Hannover" with which he made his debut in October 2020 in Hildesheim with the Requiem by Johannes Brahms. From 2020 to 2022 Hauptmann studied "Orchestral Conducting" as a scholarship holder at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. In July 2022 he graduated with honors. In June 2021 he won the Guy Woolfenden Prize for young conductors. In August 2021 he was a semi-finalist at the Ionel Perlea International Conducting Competition

His passion is especially choral singing. He has been closely associated with the Chamber Choir Acûstico since its foundation in 2013 as artistic director. Since July 2023, Julian Hauptmann has been the artistic director of the renowned Amadeus Choir Neuendettelsau .
